I was thrilled when Docrafts brought out the Gorjuss Girl Range of Stamps, Decoupage, Papers and ohhhhhh..........goodies :)
My daughter Hannah is an avid book reader (I love this about her) and she loves the Gorjuss range. She has a big bean bag in a corner of her bedroom and she lies on this all the time to read her books so it just seemed appropriate that I make this little project below to go in her reading corner.
Working with the Gorjuss range I covered a small square canvas in 12 x 12 paper, popped on some decoupage added a flower I had laying around and put in one of the brads as its center. The letters come from the Gorjuss Ultimate Pack (if you know me at all you know that I love the Ultimate Packs). Some matching twine stapled to the back makes the perfect hanger.
I have to say Hannah adores this and its been driving her mad that I had to show it around at demos first before I could hang it up. Just a couple more weeks hunny and its all yours :)

Black and White Waterfall Card
Today's post is a card reminder to all the customers who came to my demos in the beginning months of this year. This is the Waterfall card that you all got to have a go at making during the demos. I hope you are all using the template and making loads of yummy waterfall cards :)
The images used are from the Tatty Teddy Docrafts Digital Designer CD. I was very hesitant to get into CD crafting but I really have come around to using it and still crafting the way I like to. I thought CD crafting was all about making the card on a computer screen and then printing it off (not my style at all) so instead of doing that I print everything off separately so that I can work making the card from scratch. It also meant that I could print off the images for this card below in large numbers so that everyone could have a go at using them at the demos. Yep, it fair to say that CD's have won me over :)

Back to Normality at last :) - Paper Pieced Urban Stamps
Normality is beginning to return to the Larkin household and I can finally get back to blogging. I really have to say thank you to everyone for sticking around and being patient with my lack of posting while I got my arm a bit better. A huge thank you has to go out to all my wonderful customers who came to the demos and did all the work while I sat there with my arm in a sling giving out loads of instructions :) Another huge thanks goes to all my Crafty friends who worked so hard to help me have loads of kits ready so people could participate at the demos. You girls know who you are and I am forever grateful :)
Today's post is showing a couple of cards using the stamps from the Docrafts Urban Stamps. This Owl and Bird just cried out to be paper pieced (While my arm was out of action I was unable to color so this became one of my favorite techniques). I used papers from the Forever Friends Kraft Notes paper . I have to say sometimes a paper just begs to be used and used and used and this paper was the one that called me back to it time and time again (Sush, tell nobody but I bought 2 of the 12 x 12 designstaxs - well I wouldn't want to run out of it!) I just love the colors and how well it works with Kraft card, white card, colored card - well actually just everything.
My posting should be a lot more frequent from now on. Its time to charge up the camera again and start taking loads of photos so I can show you what I have been (slowly!) making over the last few months.
Happy crafting everyone :)
