Happy Christmas Rosette

Just a quick card posting tonight as I am exhausted after a fantastic demo in the Art and Hobby in Liffey Valley Shopping Center. It was busy from the start and loads of familiar faces which is always a great way to kick start a demo and guarantee a good day :)

I have been showing this card around for a few months as these rosettes are just gorgeous. Sometimes packaging can be deceiving and this is one of those times. If you click on the link Christmas Tidings Foiled Rosette Pack you will see what I mean. What you see is not always what you get :) In the packet it looks like nothing special but when its made up it just has the WOW factor. Fabby :)

The card is a Stepper Card from Docrafts and the papers are from the Christmas Tidings Paper Pack and the greeting is a Papermania Foiled Sentiments. I love this card its just so elegant.

Interlocking Gatefold Card

This has got to be one of my favorite cards in a long time. I found it on the Amazing Paper Grace blog and just had to make it. I have mentioned Grace before in a few posts and you really should take the time to check out her site. What can I say only WOW her cards are amazing.

I have shown this card around my demos and did up a little tutorial to give out to everyone but now I am posting it on my blog I felt I had to bow to the genius of Amazing Paper Grace and let her show you how its done :)

Here are my samples of the Interlocking Gatefold Card. For a video on how to make this card yourself then go to Graces fantastic video on you tube here.

Sew Happy :)

I have just had a fantastic day running workshops at the Bernardo's Charity Event. The talented people running various tables in the room was amazing and it got me thinking about all the talents out there that lie undiscovered or come to us later in life. Before becoming obsessed will all things paper I was a Montessori Nanny,a Magazine Editor, a Receptionist, A secretary..........and the list goes on!!!! A long illness got me involved in papercraft and I haven't looked back since.

I have a friend Tara who is fantastic at sewing. It was a talent that was completely hidden to her until a couple of years ago and now she is just amazing with the great projects she makes. Sewing has unlocked a creativity inside her that she really didn't realize was there and now shes trying loads of new and different projects. As her Best Friend I of course LOVE IT!!!!!

When Docrafts came out with the "Happy Days" range I just knew I had to make something for Tara with it. I loved these little projects so much that I showed them in my demos before she even got her hands on them!!!

I found a little notebook in my local Bookstation shop which had the childrens character Miffy on the front. The front and back covers were easy to remove without damaging the wire binding so I just took them off and covered them with the Happy Days Paper and then added a little saying with some cardstock stickers.

A few years ago Docrafts brought out some Chipboard Albums in all different shapes. I took a circular chipboard page from one of them and covered it in the Happy Days Fabric paper. Then I re-punched the holes so I could pop the ribbon through them. To finish it off I used the cardstock letters to add the little saying.
I found the cute sayings on google as to be honest if you put a needle in my hand I would end up bleeding within about 5 minutes (Yep, sewing is not a talent of mine..........AT ALL!!!!) So google had to come up with good sewing quotes!

Hope you like the little projects :)
